Coding Faster with Visual Studio

Taking advantaged of my Safari Book Online subscription I had a quick scan of the book Coding Faster: Getting More Productive with Microsoft® Visual Studio. My goals was to find some useful tip and tricks to improve my daily use of Visual Studio.

There was no much in there. Let me share with you the few things I found.

In Tools | Options | Projects And Solutions | General you can:

  • Change the default location for new projects
  • You can track the active item in Solution Explorer

CTRL + G helps you to go to a specific line.

You can make Intellisense transparent simply by pressing and holding CTRL key.

With the cursor on the first bracket, press “CTRL + ]” to move the cursor to the closing bracket.
